According to UIDAI, an Aadhaar card holder can change the name only twice in his/her lifetime. Also, you can change your date of birth only once in Aadhaar Card Update! You cannot change your name in Aadhaar data repeatedly. You can update gender related information in Aadhaar Card only once in life.
Verify mobile number and e-mail ID
For this, first of all you have to go to http://www.uidai.gov.in.
Now in the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab, one has to choose the ‘Verify Email / Mobile Number’ option. A new page will open!
- Here enter your Aadhaar Number and Mobile Number or Email ID, whichever you want to verify!
- After this enter the captcha code and click on ‘Send OTP’.
- OTP will come on entering the mobile number.
- If email id is entered then OTP will come on mail.
- Now OTP has to be entered at the designated place.
Match the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) records when the mobile number or email ID is entered! Then on the screen the mobile number/email id with the record of the message will be displayed.
