Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was launched by PM Modi in September 2021. The objective of this mission is to provide Digital Health ID by digitizing the health records of all Indian citizens. Health Management Information System (HMIS) is a software to manage data in any hospital which includes multiple digital services like patient registration, patient queue management, lab information system, doctor desk etc.

With the help of Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) card, the patient can access his medical records anytime, anywhere across India without losing them. The National Health Authority (NHA) is building a comprehensive digital health ecosystem for the country under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).

How to make health card

Health card can be made by visiting the official website of the National Health Authority. For this, first of all Ayushman Bharat health account has to be generated. Aadhaar card or driving license can be used to generate the account.

Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, is now connecting digital health solutions of hospitals across the country to each other. Under this, the countrymen now get a digital health ID. The health record of every citizen remains digitally secure.

Through Digital Health ID, the patient himself as well as the doctor can check the old records if needed. Not only this, there is also registration of colleagues like doctors, nurses, paramedics. All the hospitals, clinics, labs, medicine shops in the country are also registered. Under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), health records of over 4 crore citizens have been digitized and linked to their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) numbers so far. So far more than 29 crore citizens have generated their unique Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA).

We often see that many people do not have their medical records with them while going to the hospital. In such a situation, the medical consultation, the investigation, it has to be started from zero, it has to be started afresh. Due to lack of record of medical history, it takes more time and the cost also increases. PM Modi started the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission with the aim of digitizing health records.

So that citizens of India can access their health records anywhere and anytime. Today, health records of more than 4 crore citizens have been digitized and linked to their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) numbers. In the coming times, it will simplify the procedures in the hospitals as well as increase the Ease of Living.
