These services of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization are available online
Members of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization can now access its services online through its portal or through the UMANG app. This includes online submission of EPFO pension claims, viewing pension passbook, downloading Pension Payment Order (PPO) from Digi-Locker and submission of Digital Life Certificate from the comfort of home through mobile app.

What is EPFO UMANG App
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and National e-Governance Division have jointly developed Employees’ Provident Fund Organization UMANG app to drive mobile governance in India. The EPFO’s UMANG app provides easy access to central to local government bodies and other services available to citizens.
Now multiple services can be availed from this single platform. You can download this EPFO app from Google Play Store on your Android phone. After this, you can do things like checking claims and passbooks under your Employees’ Provident Fund Organization anytime.

Pensioners of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization may be in for a shock. EPFO has come up with a circular, under which pensioners getting more pension may be upset. EPFO is reviewing the higher pension of members who retired before September 1, 2014. In fact the members who did not opt for higher pension are still getting higher pension. Now EPFO can cut the pension of such members who get more pension. Additional pension will also be recovered from the members.
Employees’ Provident Fund Organization: Such cases will be re-examined
EPFO in its January 25 circular said that the cases of retired employees who have not opted for higher pension before September 1, 2014 will be reviewed. The cases in which more pension is being given will be investigated. They will not get Employees’ Provident Fund Organization pension after January 2023.
In such a case the pension will be reinstated. There will be a limit of Rs 5,000 or Rs 6,500 on this. According to the guidelines of EPFO’s employees will now have to deposit money equal to 8.33% of their basic salary in EPS. In the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization, its maximum limit will be Rs 15,000 per month.
