What is ESM Daughters Yojana?

This scheme was started in 1981 by the Kendriya Sainik Board with the consent of the Central Government. Under this scheme, earlier financial assistance of ₹ 3000 was provided to daughters for marriage, but by amending this scheme in May 2017, assistance of ₹ 16000 was provided to a person and his two girls.

After this, on April 1, the amount of ₹ 16000 has been increased to ₹ 50000 per girl child. Now under this scheme an assistance amount of ₹ 50000 is provided per daughter. The benefit of this scheme will be given to the daughters of ESM, widow, her orphan daughter, Havildar in Air Force, Navy and its equivalent post. The benefit amount provided by the government will be transferred directly to the bank account of the daughters. This scheme will prove to be very effective in making daughters self-reliant.

Objective of ESM Daughters Yojana

The main objective of ESM Daughters Yojana is to provide financial assistance to the daughters of the country by the government for their marriage.

Under this scheme, the widow of ESM, her orphan daughter, daughters of Havildar in Air Force, Navy and its equivalent post will be assisted by the government.

This will make her self-reliant and empowered. Under this scheme, ₹ 50000 will be provided by the government for marriage grant. Two daughters of a family will get the benefit of this scheme.

Operation of ESM Daughters Yojana

To take advantage of this scheme, the beneficiary will have to apply for this scheme. Interested beneficiary will have to apply within 180 days of marriage to take advantage of this scheme. Application for this scheme can be made through KSB web portal.

After applying application will be verified by JSW employee and after completion of verification case will be recommended by ZSB official and application will be forwarded to RSB employee

On reaching the RSB employee the application is identified by the employee and finally the application will be forwarded to the KSB official. After this the application will be scrutinized and approved.

The final payment will be made online based on the availability of funds in the AFFD at the stipulated time. Thereafter the cases accepted for payment through NEFT will be processed by the Accounts Department of the KSB Sect.

Apart from this, if the second daughter of the ESM/widow is married, then in that case the scheme will have to be applied again and the application should be made within 180 days of the marriage.

Eligibility of ESM Daughters Yojana

To take advantage of the scheme, the application should be made during 180 days of marriage.
Applicants of the post of Havildar and below can also apply under this scheme.

To take advantage of the scheme, the applicant should be ESM, his widow, his orphan daughter.
To take advantage of this scheme, the applicant should be scheduled by the concerned ZSB and RSB.

The daughter of the applicant should be 18 years or more.

To take advantage of this scheme, the applicant should not have received any financial assistance for marriage before from the state government and the central government.

How to apply for ESM Daughters Yojana?

You will have to apply online by visiting the official website of Sainik Board Secretariat.

Thereafter the application will be verified by the ZSB employee after giving appointment and after verification the case will be recommended by the ZSB employee and the application will be forwarded to the RSB employee.

After this the matter will be recommended by the Secretary RSB and the application will be forwarded to the officer of the Kendriya Sainik Board.
After the application reaches the Kendriya Sainik Board, it will be scrutinized and proofed.

Finally the payment will be provided to you online at regular time as per the availability of AFFD funds.
