Gram UJALA Yojana 2023: A new scheme has been started on 19 March 2021. The name of this scheme is Gram UJALA Yojana. Shri Ram Kumar Singh has started this scheme. Under the Gram Ujala Yojana, LED bulbs will be provided to the citizens for only ₹ 10. The cost of LED bulbs given under this scheme is so low that citizens will get a lot of benefits from it. What is Gram UJALA Yojana?
Under the Gram Ujjwala Yojana, good quality LED bulbs will be provided in the villages at low cost. Gram Ujala Yojana has been started to spread light in every house. The cost of LED bulb is very high in the market due to which many people of the village are not able to buy LED bulb due to which they have to pay more bills. For this reason, Gram Ujala Yojana has been started.
Under this scheme, LED bulbs will be distributed in rural areas, which will cost only ₹ 10 per bulb. Objective of Gram UJALA Yojana
The main objective of Gram Ujala Yojana is to provide LED bulbs in many districts of the country where yellow bulbs are still being used. Many citizens of rural areas are using yellow bulbs due to which their electricity bills are high. Through this scheme, LED bulbs will be provided in place of yellow bulbs. How long will the warranty be on the LED bulb?
Under this scheme, LED bulbs of 7 and 12 boards will be given in the first phase. 3 years 4 hours warranty will be given on these LED bulbs. Only the citizens of the village will get the benefit of this scheme. Alok Kumar, who is the Secretary of the Power Ministry, has said that this scheme will prove to be very helpful in saving electricity.
How to take advantage of Gram UJALA Yojana?
Gram UJALA Yojana has been started by the Central Government in collaboration with Power and Renewable Energy. In the first phase of the scheme, LED bulbs will be distributed in different states. The benefit of this scheme will be given in Vijayawada of Andhra Pradesh,
Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh, Nagpur of Maharashtra, Arrah of Bihar and some areas of West Gujarat. But as of now, not much information has been given about this scheme.
