Decisions related to Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme were taken in the review meeting chaired by Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Narendra Singh Tomar in New Delhi. In this, it has been decided to settle the pending claims of the farmers of Rajasthan.

The Union Minister said that it has also been decided to make full payment of the pending claims of Kharif 2023 to the farmers of Barmer, Rajasthan. Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that through the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PM Fasal Bima Yojana), crores of farmers have got better economic security cover in case of crop failure.

The central government is trying to bring more ease by taking decisions in the interest of the farmers so that the farmers do not face any kind of problem in getting crop insurance.

What is Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PM Crop Insurance Scheme), if there is a loss of crop due to natural calamity of any farmer in the country, then the insurance facility will be provided to the farmer by the government!

Who decides the amount of insurance: PM Crop Insurance Schemes

According to the central government, the premium in the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PM Fasal Bima Yojana)! The amount is decided by the state governments. The state government takes decision in the report of the technical committee of its district.

After that the amount of crop insurance premium is decided. This team includes District Magistrate, Agriculture Officer, Meteorological Department representative, Farmer leader and Insurance Company officials.
