Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana has been started by the central government of our country. This scheme will be operated smoothly by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana will develop agro-marine processing and food processing clusters of the country.

In the year 2020, 32 new projects were started by the government under this scheme. The government had allocated Rs 406 crore for these projects. PM Kisan Sampada Yojana 2023 – India is an agricultural country. Agriculture is the main source of employment and income in rural areas, so the central government is constantly paying attention to the development of agriculture sector.

There is sufficient production of food grains in the country, but due to lack of processing, lack of storage and proper arrangement of supply, most of the farmers do not get the right price for their produce. Keeping all these problems in mind, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana 2023 has been started by the central government. Through this scheme, food-processing units will be set up by the central government for processing marine products and food products,

so that these products can be processed better. Along with this, effective development of food chain will also be possible in the country. Main components of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana 2023

Supply-chain will be developed for processing, preservation, storage and export of marine and food products of the country through Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana. With this, an integrated system will be developed to take the produce from the farmer’s field to the consumer, which will benefit the farmers. In this plan, the focus will be on these areas for the development of the supply chain.

Mega-Food Park:- Under Mega-Food Park, Mega-Food Park will be set up to bring farmers, middlemen and retailers on a single platform. Whose produce will be stored as well as storage will be arranged through cold storage. Along with this, the produce will also be processed in different ways through the Food Park, so that it can be preserved for a long time.

Cold-Chain:- The produce will be preserved through the chain, so that the farmers will be able to keep their produce safe for a long time. The cold-chain facility will also prevent wastage of the produce.
Construction/expansion of food-processing/preservation units:-

Under this, the already established food-processing/preservation units will be updated, as well as construction and expansion of new units will be done.

Backward and Forward Linkage Scheme:- Under this, the availability of raw materials will be ensured for the development of food processing, so that there is continuity in the food supply chain.
