The main objective of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2023 is to provide own house to the poor citizens of the country, living in slums, low income group citizens. Many citizens are not able to buy their own house due to their weak economic condition. Keeping this in mind, the Prime Minister of our country Shri Narendra Modi has launched this scheme to provide own house to the people belonging to low income group and weaker sections.

Through this scheme, the poor people of the country will be given subsidy loan on the basis of their income to buy their house. Along with this, interest rate subsidy will also be provided to repay that loan.

PMAY to be operational till 2024

Citizens of the country can get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2023 by the year 2024, because considering the achievements of this scheme by the Government of India, the operational process of this scheme has been done till 2024.

Features of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2023

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2023, unemployed people will be given employment to build houses.

Under this scheme, anyone who will provide a pucca house to the poor and low-income people of the country, will be given a loan of up to 6 lakhs for a time period of 20 years. A subsidy of 6.5 percent i.e. up to 2.5 lakh will be given on this loan.

People of MIG 1 and MIG 2 group will be provided subsidy on interest of 3 to 4% according to different categories. This loan amount will be completed by the bank to the citizens in 20 years. Subsidy loan up to 2.35 lakh and 2.30 lakh will be provided to these people by the government.

Applicants can apply for this scheme sitting at their home through computer or mobile. They will not need to go anywhere to apply for this scheme.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2023, a target has been set to build 4 crore houses by 2023 in a period of 7 years.

Under this scheme, the loan amount will be transferred directly to the bank account of the applicant. For this, it is necessary to have an account in the bank account and this bank account should be linked to the Aadhaar card.

Citizens who earn Rs 18 lakh annually can avail 3% interest subsidy on loans up to Rs 12 lakh through government banks.

Citizens who earn 12 lakh rupees a year will be able to get the benefit of 4% interest subsidy on loans up to 9 lakh rupees through the bank.

To get the benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2023, the applicant should not have any pucca house.

Only those families who have one or two rooms and have kutcha wall and roof can apply for this scheme.

There should not be any literate adult above 25 years of age in the family.
Families that do not have a male or adult member in the age group of 16 to 59 years can also avail benefits under this scheme.

In families where there is a disabled member and there is no able-bodied person in that family other than that person. They can also get benefits by applying under this scheme.
