Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana 2023 will be extended till the year 2026
On December 15, 2021, it has been decided by the Union Cabinet to extend the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana for another 5 years till 2026. Union Minister Anurag Thakur and Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat informed about this decision to the journalists. About 22 lakh farmers will be benefited by the extension of this scheme, of which 2.5 lakh belong to Scheduled Castes and two lakh to Scheduled Tribes.
An expenditure of Rs 93068 crore is estimated on this scheme. Out of which assistance of Rs 37454 crore will be provided by the Central Government. In addition, Rs 20434.56 crore has been approved for the states with a central assistance of Rs 37454 crore and Rs 20434.56 crore has been approved to repay the loan taken by the Government of India for irrigation development during PM Krishi Sichai Yojana 2016.

Under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana 2023, 70 percent subsidy will be provided to horticulture farmers and 50 percent subsidy to marginal farmers for setting up drip plants. This information was given by Deputy Director Dr. KN Singh.
Apart from this, 60 percent subsidy will be given to small and marginal farmers and 50 percent subsidy to other farmers on the purchase of fountain plant. To take advantage of this scheme, farmers have to apply online. This online application can be done through E Mitra on Raj Kisan Sathi portal.
It is mandatory to have Jamabandi, trace measurement, plant quotation, soil water test report, electricity bill, Aadhaar card etc. to fill the application form. The benefits of this scheme will be available on first come first serve basis. Farmers of Udaipur district can apply under this scheme till 15 September 2021.
Financial Assistance for Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana 2023
As you all know that the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana has been started by the Central Government. The main objective of starting this scheme is to give subsidy on the purchase of irrigation equipments so that water can be available for irrigation of fields. This scheme will also prove effective in increasing the income of the farmers.
This scheme has been started keeping in mind the scarcity of water in different districts of the country. So that the quality of the crop can be ensured. Under the Pradhanmantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana 2023, Har Khet Ko Pani scheme has been started.
Water will be made available to all the farms by the government through Har Khet Ko Pani Yojana. For which financial assistance will be provided by the Ministry of Command Area Development and Water Management. With this financial assistance, irrigation facilities will be made available to the farmers so that water can reach their fields. Rs 1706 crore has been approved under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana 2023.
A virtual cabinet meeting was organized on 22 December 2020 under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In this meeting, the cabinet has allocated Rs 1706 crore for Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana. The share of Madhya Pradesh in this is Rs 682 crore 40 lakh 40 thousand.
Mandla, Dindori, Shahdol, Umaria and Singrauli districts of Madhya Pradesh have been included under this scheme. Borewells will be constructed in these districts, so that irrigation facilities can be made available to the farmers. To provide borewell irrigation facilities, it will be built over an area of 62135 hectares.
