Eligibility Criteria for Ration Card List

It is mandatory for individuals to be a native of India to get their name registered in the ration card list.
Only those people who are living below the poverty line will be able to get their names registered in the ration card list for the month of January.

It is mandatory for every person applying for the ration card to have their passport size photo.
It is mandatory for every member of the family of ration card applicants to have their Aadhaar card.
It is also necessary to link Aadhaar card with mobile number.

Types of Ration Card
Ration cards have been divided into many types by the Food and Logistics Department, but mainly there are three types of ration cards –

APL Ration Card :- APL Ration Card is given by the Central Government to the families citizens who do not live above the poverty line. Using this ration card, each family can get up to 15 kg of ration per month from the government.

BPL Ration Card :- BPL Ration Card is given by the Central Government to those families who live below the poverty line. Ration up to 25 kg per month is provided by the central government.
