UIDAI Aadhaar Updates: The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology advises all citizens to update or verify their Aadhaar Card information every 10 years! Their practice is aimed at controlling UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) Aadhaar card related scams and financial frauds.

The government had issued several advisories in the last few months for all citizens to update their demographics in Aadhaar Card. For example- name, date of birth, gender and address. And the same instruction has recently been issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) through a Twitter notification!

UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has informed further! That updating the Aadhaar Card details will help in getting benefits as well as making life easier! Although the process is not mandatory! Government advises citizens who have been assigned Aadhaar for 10 years or more
How to update your aadhar card Two different ways:
After visiting the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) enrollment center
- Online using Self Service Aadhaar Card Update Portal (SSUP)

- How to update Aadhaar details through online method?
- First of all go to the official website of UIDAI.
- Now under ‘My Aadhaar’ section ‘Update Demographic Data and Check Status’!
After this, you will be redirected to a different official website.
Log in with your details!

Now, enter your UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) Aadhaar number, and verify yourself with the captcha code! Click on ‘Send OTP’!
You will receive one-time password or OTP on your registered mobile number.
After this click on ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’.
Now, select the section you want to update and enter the details you want to input.
Note that you need to upload an official document as proof of address.
Click on ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’!
Finally, pay a nominal fee of Rs 50 to update your address in Aadhaar Card.
